This policy explains what information is collected when you visit www.cosmicstarships.com (the “site”) and play Cosmic Starship (the “game”), and how it is used. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].
Game progress
The game saves your progress (your commanders, ships, settings and similar game data) in your browser’s local storage on your own device. This data is not sent to us and we cannot see it. You can export, import or delete it at any time from the game’s Settings, or by clearing your browser data for this site.
Online co-op
If you use online co-op, the site briefly stores the room you open or join (a room name, a short code and the technical connection details your browser needs to reach the other player) for up to ten minutes so the two browsers can find each other. The battle then runs directly between the two devices, which means each player’s device can see the other’s IP address, as with any direct connection. If a relay (TURN) server is needed to connect you, the battle traffic passes through that server. Co-op is optional.
Server logs
Like most websites, our web server and our hosting and content delivery providers keep technical logs of requests (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time). These logs are used to keep the site running and secure and are deleted after a limited period.
Advertising and cookies
This site uses Google AdSense to show advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
